HexHavoc - Update 2.0: New Gameplay Mechanics & Major Enhancements

Hello HexHavoc players! 🌟 We’re excited to introduce Update 2.0, bringing new gameplay mechanics, enhanced enemy types, and expanded scoring systems to push your survival skills even further!

🆕 What’s New:

1. Player Lives & Immunity System

  • You now have 3 lives. Each collision with an enemy costs one life.
  • A short immunity window after being hit prevents consecutive losses.
  • Once all lives are lost, it’s Game Over!

2. New Enemy Types & Behaviors

  • Chasing Enemies: These enemies pursue the player once your score surpasses 800 points.
  • New enemy behavior patterns:
    • Chase Enemies (Purple, Circular) relentlessly follow you within their range.
    • Wander Enemies (Green, Square) move randomly across the map.

3. Combo Scoring System

  • Build your combo streak by quickly collecting resources and power-ups.
  • Earn bonus points for maintaining streaks and combos!

4. Resource Decay & Harvest Streaks

  • Resources now decay over time, encouraging faster harvesting.
  • Successfully harvesting resources within a short window increases your harvest streak, awarding extra points!

5. Enhanced Mini-Map

  • Track your location and nearby enemies on the improved mini-map.
  • Easily toggle the mini-map on or off from the Settings.

⚙️ Bug Fixes & Additional Improvements:

  • Improved enemy spawning logic and balancing for a more challenging experience.
  • Enhanced power-up visuals and responsiveness.
  • Multiple performance optimizations for smoother gameplay.
